Course Code USS: Understanding Stop and Search

A 2 hour session that looks at the various forms of Stop and Search, its role in modern policing and the reasons why it creates controversy and concern in communities.
Using highly interactive discussions the session looks in depth at whether communities want the power used and when they want the power used.
The session would provide an excellent introduction to the history of Stop and Search for community members interested in challenging/improving its use by their local police service.
The session can be run effectively with a joint police/community audience.
