A 2 hour session that looks at the role the use of intelligence should play in ensuring efficient, effective and fair use of Stop and Search.
The session will examine the concept of ‘reasonable suspicion’ and demonstrate the effectiveness of SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) in ensuring frontline officers use the power appropriately.
It will also cover the reasons why the power causes friction with communities and how to overcome that friction.
