EC: Equality Challenge

This 1.5 hour session, developed specifically for delivery to young people and delivered in an interactive manner, provides information about the range of diverse communities that make up the United kingdom, whilst considering the nature of discrimination that communities often face.

The session additionally looks at the use of language and how this can cause offence and conflict amongst groups. The session can be delivered either as a one off session or  a number of times throughout a day as part of wider events such as Equality Week and  Black History Month. the sessions are frequently delivered as part of Circle-Time and PSHE sessions.

The session can be delivered as part of National Citizenship Service (NCS) programmes, introducing participants to issues impacting on communities and potential  themes that may be used in the development of group projects.
