Sponsored Walk

Andrew and Paula from Stop Hate UK took part in a 13.5 mile sponsored walk in Wakefield on 17th September. As well as raising funds for Stop Hate UK the walk, the walk also aimed to promote the launch of Stop Hate Line across the Wakefield district which is due in October 2010.

The walk took 4 hours, starting in the Centre of Wakefield and 27000 steps later finishing in Castleford. A few aches and pains afterwards but great fun and the effort was well worthwhile in order to promote our work.

Within the walk, kind support was offered by Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, Featherstone Rovers, Junction 32 Shopping Outlet and Castleford Tigers, who lowed us to call in to publicise Stop Hate Line and donated items for an online action which is currently talking place on Ebay. So if you did not get the chance to sponsor Andrew or Paula, take the opportunity to support us by bidding on the items.
