Training

Training for Agencies

Stop Hate UK delivers training in Hate Crime awareness and related subjects to the Police, schools, housing providers, Hate Crime reporting centres, Probation Services and Youth Offending Services.

Our courses provide participants with an understanding of the issues surrounding Hate Crime, including:

  • the impact of Hate Crime on individuals and communities
  • why Hate Crime is under-reported, and what can be done to increase reporting
  • support available for victims, including the role of the Police and other statutory and non-statutory agencies
  • individual, team and organisational practices when responding to Hate Crime

The sessions are suitable for front-line workers who may come into contact with Hate Crime as part of their job, as well as those responsible for developing services to meet the needs of Hate Crime victims.

Training for individuals and communities

Stop Hate UK train members of the public about Police Stop and Search, and deliver training to members of Police Scrutiny Panels. We also run workshops in community settings.

Our courses are interactive, and materials will be provided.

Training for Young People

Our training for children and young people is developed and delivered using age-appropriate materials and methods.

Our courses are designed to enhance teamwork and communication skills. They have been used in schools as Circle-Time and PSHE sessions.

Training is also available for school staff, teachers and governors.

Bespoke courses

If you have specific requirements for your course, our trainers are able to develop sessions tailored to your needs.
