Training

 

Training is delivered to anyone that feels they would benefit, such as young people, parents, school governors, and youth workers. Training focuses on themes such as:

  • race equality
  • conflict resolution
  • anger management
  • mediation
  • buddying /befriending
  • active listening
  • teacher training

The training we deliver with young people and children not only explores sensitive issues, but places an emphasis on Personal and Social Development, enhancing skills such as teamwork, communication and organisational skills.

We also deliver life-skills training, focusing on themes including respect, role models, assertiveness, identity, and ambition.

Advising schools of good practice in areas such as Transition, Black History, Circle–time and PSCHE, resolving Racist Incidents, responding to complaints, mediation, working with parents.

Supporting schools with specific initiatives such as Holocaust Memorial Day, Refugee Week and Black History Month.

Workshops on equality and cohesion related themes such as non-violent communication, asylum issues, media literacy.
Producing resources that are young person centred, and age appropriate leaflets, posters, flyers, lesson plans.

Special points of interest: Facilitating Support Groups for Children, Young People and Parents.

Working with Perpetrators in a one to one or group work context exploring the issues and the effects of racist activity/behaviour.
Advocacy for young people, parents and teachers that are facing difficulties at school or in the community including Practical and Emotional Support basic counselling, sign posting.
