Volunteer for Stop Hate UK

Would you like to offer direct support to victims of Hate Crime? We need more volunteer helpline operators to answer phone calls, text messages, web chat and emails. You’ll receive full training, and you can volunteer from home.

We are also looking for volunteers at our office in Leeds to do a variety of roles, including admin, marketing, IT and support.

Volunteer for a Leeds Police Hate Crime Scrutiny Panel

Do you want to be involved in scrutinising real life Hate Crime cases, and making recommendations about how the Police can investigate Hate Crimes better?

Every month across Leeds there are meetings to scrutinise how Leeds Police investigate Hate Crimes. Scrutiny panels make sure there is transparency in the Police’s actions, to help increase confidence in how the Police deal with Hate Crimes.

You will receive training from Stop Hate UK about Hate Crimes and about how they should be investigated by the Police.

Do you want to have a say on how the policies and procedures used by Merseyside Police affect the community?

Over the next 2 years, Stop Hate UK will be running consultation events with members of different communities in Merseyside to find out your views about Merseyside Police’s procedures and policies.

Volunteer for a Sheffield Police Hate Crime Scrutiny Panel

Do you want to be involved in scrutinising real life Hate Crime cases, and making recommendations about how the Police can investigate Hate Crimes better?

Starting in 2010, there will be meetings every month to scrutinise how Sheffield Police investigate Hate Crimes. Scrutiny panels make sure there is transparency in the Police’s actions, to help increase confidence in how the Police deal with Hate Crimes.
