Help & Advice
If you are a victim or witness a Hate Crime:
Always report every incident, either to the Police, a HIRC, or the Stop Hate Line. Tell them it was a Hate Crime.
Tell them all the details, such as time, place and a description of the attackers.
If you speak to the Police, write down the name and number of the Police officer you spoke to.
Do not touch any evidence (e.g. broken glass, weapons, clothes) or clean away any graffiti.
If there are any witnesses, ask for their name, address and a statement of what they saw and heard. Ask them to sign their statement.
If anyone is hurt, they should see a doctor. Take photographs of the injuries.
The Law
