Stop Hate UK to attend Emergency Services Show

Stop Hate UK will be attending the Emergency Services Show 2010 at Stoneleigh Park Coventry on the 24th and 25th November. You will be able to find us on stand E12 within the Emergency Response Zone. We would be delighted to meet you at the show to provide you with more information about Stop Hate UK, and to see how the services we offer including the 24 hour help line and Training and Consultancy services can assist you develop a cohesive strategy for tackling Hate Crime. Candle-lit vigil against Hate-Crime

Following last year’s success in which 10,000 people descended on Trafalgar Square, The 17-24-30 No To Hate Campaign are to hold another candle-lit vigil on Saturday October 23, 7 – 9pm in Trafalgar Square.

The vigil is to commemorate all those who have been victims of Hate Crimes. Attendees will enjoy live music and speakers including Stuart Milk of the Harvey Milk Foundation.

‘Hate Crime on Trial’ event for Travellers to take place in Liverpool

Merseyside Police are holding a reconstruction of the trial of a man accused of attacking a traveller, and members of the Gypsy and Traveller community are invited to take part. The event will take place at the League of Welldoers, Limekiln Lane in Liverpool on 13th November 10am – 3pm.

Actors and professionals will create the reconstruction while those attending are invited to form the jury. The event aims to raise awareness of the outcome of this type of incident and of the importance of reporting Hate Crime.
